Recap: California Trojans vs. Bentworth Bearcats
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monessen, the California Trojans were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They managed a 73-67 win over Bentworth. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why Bentworth lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ben Hays. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Lucas Burt, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
California's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Bentworth, they bumped their record down to 3-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
California will take on Carrick at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bentworth, they will head out on the road to take on Frazier at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
