Muhlenberg has gone 8-2 against Reading recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Muhls will take on the Red KNights at 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Muhlenberg's offense. They lost 10-0 to Governor Mifflin on Wednesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Muhls were not able to get on the board.

Muhlenberg saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Moody, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Reading hadn't done well against Daniel Boone recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Red KNights had just enough and edged out the Blazers 12-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Red KNights have posted since May 9, 2024.

Anferny Trinidad made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Trinidad was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Reading got a massive performance out of Frandy Ruiz, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs Ruiz has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of John Urena, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Reading kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Reading's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Muhlenberg, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

Muhlenberg took their victory against Reading when the teams last played on April 1st by a conclusive 16-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Muhls since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
