They enjoyed a cozy 69-54 win over Lakeland Preparatory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as KIPP Collegiate also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Lakeland Preparatory saw an underclassman step up: Ryan Pitts scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pitts has scored all season. Cooper Gallagher was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
KIPP Collegiate has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-13 record this season. As for Lakeland Preparatory, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
KIPP Collegiate will look to defend their home court on Monday against Memphis Business Academy at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Memphis Business Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Lakeland Preparatory, they will head out on the road to challenge Trezevant at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
