Volleyball Recap: Horizon Science Academy Takes a Loss

Horizon Science Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Patriot Prep Academy Eagles. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Horizon Science Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 25-23.

Patriot Prep Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamiya Howard, who had 16 kills, three blocks, and two aces.

Horizon Science Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Patriot Prep Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horizon Science Academy will welcome Foxfire at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Patriot Prep Academy, they will be playing at home against Northland at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
