Softball Recap: Lee Academy Comes Up Short

Lee Academy lost against Carolina Academy last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cavaliers took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats.

Jameson Collins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ansley King, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Lee Academy dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Carolina Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Lee Academy will welcome Dorchester Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Carolina Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Marlboro Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dragons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.6 runs per game on average), something the Bobcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
