Baseball Recap: Valley Forge Military Academy Trojans vs. Bristol Warriors

Valley Forge Military Academy had lost 13 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 0-11 to make it 14. They came up short against the Bristol Warriors, falling 15-0. The Trojans were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

As for Bristol, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games.

For Bristol's part, Harry Scancella made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, Scancella posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Trae Anthony was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024.
