Sacred Heart faced Christian Academy-Louisville in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Valkyries put the hurt on the Centurions with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Valkyries.

While Sacred Heart might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Christian Academy-Louisville scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.

Sacred Heart's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Campbell Miles, who had ten digs and eight assists. Those eight assists gave Miles a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Christian Academy-Louisville still got an impressive performance from Katrina Oswald, who had nine digs and one assist.

Sacred Heart's win bumped their record up to 16-17. As for Christian Academy-Louisville, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 26-6.
