Basketball Game Preview: Duchesne Pioneers vs. St. Charles West Warriors

The Duchesne Pioneers will venture away from home to square off against the St. Charles West Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Duchesne is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Duchesne saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a hard 57-41 fall against Fort Zumwalt North. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 404th, while the Panthers are ranked 124th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Charles West). They ended the year with a bang, routing North Point 75-49 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Warriors have posted since December 3, 2024.

The victory got St. Charles West back to even at 5-5. As for Duchesne, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Duchesne took a serious blow against St. Charles West in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 55-17. Can Duchesne avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
