Basketball Recap: Kanab's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Kanab had won eight straight games and Carson Visser did his part to make it nine on Wednesday. The Kanab Cowboys were the clear victor by an 81-61 margin over the Millard Eagles thanks in part to Visser, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 18.2 points per game.

Another player making a difference was Kale Glover, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 21 points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games.

Kanab is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 31.3% in those games and 35% outside of them. As for Millard, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kanab will head out to square off against South Sevier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Kanab's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches. As for Millard, they will venture away from home to face off against Parowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Parowan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Millard likes a good challenge.
