Baseball Recap: Centralia Comes Up Short

After flying high against Tenino last Friday, Centralia came back down to earth. The Tigers came up short against the Shelton Highclimbers on Saturday, falling 13-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 14-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Centralia's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Shelton, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-3.

While Centralia had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
