After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Winchester Community, Union County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

One reason for the win was Union County's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-9.

Olivia Tinkle paced Union County's offense, picking up 11 kills. Tinkle got some help from Casey Klein and her ten assists. Tinkle was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Union County's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

Union County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Western on the 13th.
