Softball Recap: Jackson Heights Takes a Loss

Jackson Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Valley Falls Dragons. Surprisingly, this marked the Cobras' sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Nicole Amon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Jennifer Buck also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Jackson Heights' loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Valley Falls, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Dragons beat Jackson Heights by a score of 11-0 later that day.
