Softball Game Preview: Vestavia Hills Rebels vs. Oak Mountain Eagles

The Vestavia Hills Rebels will face off against the Oak Mountain Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Vestavia Hills lost 10-3 to Moody on Wednesday. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Oak Mountain entered their tilt with Corner on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Yellow Jackets get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory.

Maddie Prevallet looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Oak Mountain saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Green, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Oak Mountain was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Corner only posted a batting average of .125.

Vestavia Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 9-13-1. As for Oak Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 17-12.

Vestavia Hills beat Oak Mountain 5-0 in their previous meeting back in March. Do the Rebels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
