Football Game Preview: Blount Leopards vs. McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets + How To Watch

Blount hasn't had much luck against McGill-Toolen recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Leopards will be playing in front of their home fans against the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Blount has given up an average of 26.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Blount ended up a good deal behind Spanish Fort and lost 41-22. While losing is never fun, the Leopards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Toros are ranked 32nd).

Blount's loss came about despite a quality game from Naheem Thomas, who picked up 82 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, McGill-Toolen brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They blew past Davidson 42-7 last Friday. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

McGill-Toolen's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Blount, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Things could have been worse for Blount, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 24-6 loss to McGill-Toolen when the teams last played back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Yellowjackets' Ladarien Miller, who rushed for 159 yards and a pair of TDs. Now that the Leopards know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
