Volleyball Recap: Angeline Academy of Innovation Takes a Loss

Angeline Academy of Innovation was the 3-2 winner over Classical Prep when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Archers fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2 on Monday. While the Archers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-15 in the first set.

Angeline Academy of Innovation actually scored more points across those five sets (100-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-16, 25-21, 13-25, 15-13.

Sadie Magee paced Angeline Academy of Innovation's offense, picking up 13 kills. Magee got some help from Mayson Cregger and her 29 assists. Alyssa Booth controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Angeline Academy of Innovation's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Classical Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Angeline Academy of Innovation will head out on the road to face off against Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Classical Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against North Tampa Christian Academy on the 17th.
