R.J. Reynolds's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They snuck past the West Forsyth Titans with a 58-52 win. The Demons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

R.J. Reynolds' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Evie Beale led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Hattie Boone, who went 7 of 12 en route to 14 points and six rebounds.

Beale wasn't the only one working in the assists department: R.J. Reynolds was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brooklynn King, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. King is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games she's played. Emma Staples was another key player, putting up 16 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

R.J. Reynolds picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-7. As for West Forsyth, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.

R.J. Reynolds didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-21 loss against Davie on the 17th. As for West Forsyth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 51-43 defeat against East Forsyth on the 15th.
