Softball Recap: Keller Indians vs. Redwater Dragons
While Keller put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Redwater. The Keller Indians were the clear victor by an 11-0 margin over the Redwater Dragons.
Preslie Olbrish looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024.
At the plate, Mackenna Jackson and Elise Whetstine did most of the damage at the plate: Jackson went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Whetstine scored two runs and stole five bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. That's the most runs Whetstine has posted since back in April of 2024. Lauren Kavanaugh was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Keller's victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1. As for Redwater, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Coming up, Keller will square off against Rowlett at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Redwater, they will head out to face off against Pine Tree on Saturday.
