Basketball Recap: South Haven Christian's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

South Haven Christian waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 66-53 victory over the Hendersonville Christian Academy Crusaders. South Haven Christian has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Hendersonville Christian Academy, too.

South Haven Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jared White, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 boards. White's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Trevor Steinbrook, who went 6 of 14 en route to 19 points.

South Haven Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.

South Haven Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. As for Hendersonville Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

South Haven Christian will look to defend their home court on Monday against Christian Community at 7:30 p.m. As for Hendersonville Christian Academy, they will head out to face off against Pleasant View Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
