The matchup between Bishop Kenny and Westside on Friday hardly resembled the 14-10 effort from their previous meeting. The Crusaders claimed a resounding 63-12 win over the Wolverines. The Crusaders' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Bishop Kenny didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Bryce Lapenes, Ashton Green, and Jelani Dawkins picked up one apiece. Green got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Bishop Kenny, bringing their record up to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.0 points on average over those games. As for Westside, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Bishop Kenny will face off against Providence School at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders will need to watch out since the Stallions have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. Westside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
