Softball Game Preview: Zephyrhills Bulldogs vs. Auburn Riverside Ravens

The Zephyrhills Bulldogs will take on the Auburn Riverside Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, Zephyrhills and Hernando finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 tie.

Meanwhile, Auburn Riverside made easy work of Stadium on Monday and carried off a 12-6 victory. Considering the Ravens have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Auburn Riverside got a great performance from Kylee Curtis as she tossed 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Curtis has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hannah Potter, who fired off two home runs, three RBI, and one double while going 3-for-3. Ashley Langford was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Auburn Riverside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

With that draw, Zephyrhills' record moves to 3-8-1. As for Auburn Riverside, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-3.
