Volleyball Recap: West Bend West Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous four meetings between West Bend West and Oshkosh West, and Oshkosh West kept the tradition alive. The Spartans fell 3-1 to the Wildcats on Thursday. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in October of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While West Bend West had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18, 24-26, 25-20.

Emmalee Heniadis paced West Bend West's offense, picking up 19 kills. Heniadis got some help from Morgan Winkler and her 27 assists. Emy Miller controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Among those leading the charge was Olivia Xiong, who had 16 digs and six assists. Those six assists gave her a new career-high.

West Bend West's defeat dropped their record down to 18-20. As for Oshkosh West, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 23 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.

West Bend West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oshkosh West, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Hamilton on the 25th.
