Football Recap: Kayden Steptoe and Simon Starks Pace A&M Consolidated Defense + How To Watch

A&M Consolidated blew Anderson out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Anderson got their revenge. The Tigers fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 42-40. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (38), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, A&M Consolidated still got an impressive performance from Holt Goodwin, who threw for 238 yards and three TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. A healthy portion of Goodwin's aerial production (108 yards to be exact) went to Cooper Johnson.

A&M Consolidated didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kayden Steptoe and Simon Starks.

Caleb Crenshaw produced another solid effort rushing for 206 yards and three touchdowns for Anderson. Crenshaw is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 104 every time he's taken the field this season.

A&M Consolidated's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Anderson, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coincidentally, A&M Consolidated and Anderson will both be playing Lehman the next time they take the field. The Trojans will host the Lobos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on October 9.
