The Big Walnut Golden Eagles will face off against the Dublin Scioto Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Big Walnut faced off against New Albany on Monday. The Golden Eagles came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Big Walnut was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Dublin Scioto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Reynoldsburg. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Irish have suffered since May 8, 2024.

Dublin Scioto took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-19.

Dublin Scioto's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Big Walnut, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-4.

Big Walnut skirted past Dublin Scioto 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Golden Eagles repeat their success, or do the Irish have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
