Softball Recap: Rosepine Comes Up Short

Rosepine lost to Iowa back in March of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles fell just short of the Yellowjackets by a score of 10-9.

Cailyn Evans was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Analeigh Roberts, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Rosepine's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Iowa, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.

Rosepine wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-2 victory against Cedar Creek on the 21st. As for Iowa, they will take on DeRidder at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
