Mater Dei came out on top against Gibault Catholic on Wednesday thanks in part to Emma Diekemper's efforts. Diekemper wasn't messing around, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. The game was her third straight with at least one stolen base.

Diekemper and Mater Dei will welcome Mascoutah at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last time Diekemper duked it out with the Indians (back in March of 2024), the Knights came out on top by a score of 10-5.
