Soccer Recap: Banning Find Success

It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Banning ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Cathedral City Lions out 3-2. For the Broncos, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Hugo Ceballos and Christopher Ibarra scored all three of Banning's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 28 goals.

Banning's record is now 14-3-1. As for Cathedral City, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.

Banning wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Desert Hot Springs on the 16th. Cathedral City has also already played their next contest, a 4-0 loss against Desert Mirage on the 16th.
