Chandler Prep waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the North Valley Christian Academy Lions 12-4. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by eight runs or more this season.

Chandler Prep let Colman Smith and Emet Yates run wild. Smith went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Yates scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs Yates has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Derek Tucker, who scored two runs and stole two bases.

Chandler Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Valley Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .276.

Chandler Prep's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15-1 record this season.

Chandler Prep will welcome Veritas Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Titans 3.8, the Falcons 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they will challenge Kingman Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
