Football Game Recap: Lawrence County vs. Decatur

Decatur were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They were the clear victor by a 35-7 margin over Lawrence County. Followers of Decatur probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.

Decatur's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 28 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Lawrence County couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 28-0 heading into the break. The Decatur defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the matchup. The win bumped Decatur's record up to 4-2. The loss dropped Lawrence County back to even at 2-2.

Decatur will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Muscle Shoals. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. As for Lawrence County, they will face off against Russellville.
