Softball Game Preview: Carlisle County Comets vs. Hickman County Falcons

Carlisle County and Hickman County are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2022, but likely not for long. The Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Calloway County hit Carlisle County with a four-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Comets took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lakers.

Meanwhile, Hickman County unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Marshall County by a score of 5-4.

Hickman County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blair Byassee, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI and one double. Audrey Tucker was another, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Carlisle County dropped their record down to 4-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Hickman County, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.
