Football Game Preview: Prairie Ridge Wolves vs. St. Francis Spartans + Official Tickets

The Prairie Ridge Wolves will face off against the St. Francis Spartans at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Prairie Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully St. Francis likes a good challenge.

Prairie Ridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They strolled past Vernon Hills with points to spare, taking the game 46-30. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Cougars are ranked 276th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, St. Francis' offense rose to the challenge against a Mustangs defense that boasted an average of only 12.6 points allowed on Saturday. The Spartans came out on top against Morgan Park by a score of 35-28.

Prairie Ridge pushed their record up to 10-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.3 points over those games. As for St. Francis, their record is now 7-3.

Prairie Ridge couldn't quite get it done against St. Francis in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 as they fell 30-21. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
