Volleyball Recap: Gregory Comes Up Short

Gregory was the 3-0 winner over Corsica/Stickney when they last played one another back in November of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Gorillas took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars on Thursday. The Gorillas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-11, 20-25, 25-20.

Corsica/Stickney was led to victory by Remi Nelson and Sophie Delange. Nelson had 11 assists and four aces, while Delange had 19 kills, 13 digs, and one block. Delange has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 29 times she's played.

Gregory's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Corsica/Stickney, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Gregory will challenge Bon Homme at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corsica/Stickney, they will venture away from home to square off against Tripp-Delmont/Armour at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
