Baseball Recap: North Greene Comes Up Short

North Greene extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 3-16 in the process. They lost 13-3 to the Pittsfield Saukees. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 14-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

As for Pittsfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-10. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matches by six runs or more this season.

For Pittsfield's part, Lane Foster was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Foster has become a key player for the Saukees: the team is 13-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kaden Ferguson, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

North Greene does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pittsfield, they will head out to face off against Triopia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
