Baseball Recap: West Creek Sets Scoring Season-High Against Kenwood

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Creek). They were the clear victors by a 23-4 margin over the Kenwood Knights on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Coyote as they're now sitting on three straight.

Alik George was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Donte Castro was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.

West Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .565. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

West Creek now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Kenwood, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Creek will square off against Creek Wood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Creek Wood's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so West Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Kenwood, they will challenge Hunters Lane at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kenwood is facing Hunters Lane at the right time seeing as Hunters Lane is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
