Baseball Game Preview: Hartshorne Miners vs. Panama Razorbacks

The Hartshorne Miners will square off against the Panama Razorbacks at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Things were looking good for Hartshorne after they put the first points on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Kingston, falling 11-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Miners in their meetings with the Redskins: they've now lost three in a row.

Deegan Burke was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. Gus Miller was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Panama suffered their closest loss since May 3, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of Community Christian by a score of 7-5. The match marked the Razorbacks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Panama saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shawn Hogan, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Hogan a new career-high.

Hartshorne now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Panama, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Hartshorne might still be hurting after the 13-7 loss they got from Panama when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Hartshorne avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
