Softball Recap: New Caney Comes Up Short

New Caney lost against Willis back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Wildkats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Caney's defeat dropped their record down to 16-11-2. As for Willis, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. New Caney will square off against rival Caney Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Willis is set to challenge their familiar foe Conroe at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildkats 2.6, the Tigers 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
