Softball Recap: Medina Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Medina can now relate to. They fell just short of the Spurger Pirates by a score of 8-6 on Thursday. The Bobcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Hallie Kunz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Audrey Gatlin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Medina's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Spurger, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Medina beat the Pirates by a score of 6-5 later that day.
