Volleyball Recap: William Penn Starts Season with Win Against Wyomissing

William Penn gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Wyomissing Spartans 3-0. The win was some much needed relief for the Bearcats as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season.

William Penn not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Wyomissing between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-16.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as William Penn Bearcats take on Central Dauphin East Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wyomissing, they will head out to take on Fleetwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wyomissing has now lost eight straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 9.
