Softball Recap: Keokuk Takes a Loss

Keokuk lost against West Burlington back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Chiefs fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Chiefs have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Keokuk and nudges their season record down to 2-10. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for West Burlington, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Keokuk wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 17-0 defeat against Fairfield on the 12th. As for West Burlington, they have also already played their next game, an 8-2 victory against Lone Tree on the 12th.
