Baseball Recap: Shikellamy Takes a Loss

Shikellamy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 8-5 to the South Williamsport Mountaineers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Braves of the 7-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Chayse Snyder was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Corbin Stahl was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.

Shikellamy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for South Williamsport, their record is now 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shikellamy will face off against Jersey Shore at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Williamsport, they will take on Muncy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
