Recap: Northside Eagles vs. Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets
After a string of five wins, the Northside Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 53-39 bruising from Thomas County Central. Northside has not had much luck with Thomas County Central recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Thomas County Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tia Floyd out in front who scored 18 points. The game was Floyd's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcy Pearson, who scored 12 points along with six steals.
Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Thomas County Central, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-1.
Northside will head out on the road to face off against Houston County at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Thomas County Central, they will be playing at home against Tift County at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
