Volleyball Recap: Prairie View Comes Up Short

Prairie View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Santa Fe Trail Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Santa Fe Trail scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17.

Santa Fe Trail found their leader in sophomore Trinity Fawl, who had eight digs and two aces.

Prairie View's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Santa Fe Trail, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-9.

Prairie View didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Anderson County on the 9th. As for Santa Fe Trail, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Osawatomie on the 9th.
