Baseball Recap: Redondo Union Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Redondo Union waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the West Warriors by a score of 4-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-0 back in March.

Jack Green tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Michael Hines was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Redondo Union's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-10 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Parker Leoff, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The victory got Redondo Union back to even at 10-10. As for West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Redondo Union will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
