Bangor is 9-1 against Cashton since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cardinals will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bangor is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell just short of Arcadia by a score of 69-67 on Tuesday.

Loss or not, Bangor got some senior leadership from Hayden Massman and Brody Edwards. Massman went 10-for-24 to rack up 23 points and eight boards, while Edwards shot 64% from the field en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayne Langrehr, who shot 45% from the field on his way to 11 points.

Meanwhile, Cashton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 71-41 loss at the hands of Kickapoo. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Panthers since Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Cashton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Graham Hemmersbach went 8-for-13 en route to 19 points. Another player making a difference was Drew Butzler, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Everything came up roses for Bangor against Cashton when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 73-32 victory. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
