Soccer Recap: South Lenoir Takes a Loss

South Lenoir was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that South Lenoir have lost by just one goal.

Their goal came courtesy of Leslie Gonzalez, who's now up to nine this season.

South Lenoir's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Lenoir will head out to challenge North Lenoir at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Lenoir are facing North Lenoir at the right time seeing as North Lenoir are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they will venture away from home to square off against James Kenan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. James Kenan will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Wallace-Rose Hill surely won't give up without a fight.
