Football Recap: Willamette Takes a Loss

The Willamette Wolverines were beaten by the Springfield Millers 39-6 on Thursday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Springfield found their leader in sophomore Jeweliawna Panko, who rushed for 65 yards and two TDs on only five carries.

Willamette's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Springfield, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Willamette and Springfield will both be playing Thurston the next time they take the field. The Millers will head out to face the Colts at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Wolverines will play them later in the day, at 8:30 p.m.
