Softball Recap: Kettle Moraine Lutheran Turns Things Around After Road Loss

Kettle Moraine Lutheran's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Wisconsin Lutheran on Tuesday. The Chargers never let the Berlin Indians get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The Chargers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 8th (when they won 20-4).

Kettle Moraine Lutheran got a great performance from Katie Brandt as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Brandt has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, Elizabeth Ehlke was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Bartelt, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Kettle Moraine Lutheran now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Berlin, their record now sits at 3-13.

Coming up, Kettle Moraine Lutheran will challenge Winneconne at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Berlin, they will take on Ripon at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
