Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Norfork

Norfork proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Salem Greyhounds. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered an 8-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Norfork's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Salem, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Norfork wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-5 win against East Poinsett County on the 28th. As for Salem, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-2 defeat against Izard County on the 28th.
