Volleyball Game Preview: Mora Rangers/Rangerettes vs. McCurdy Bobcats

The Mora Rangers/Rangerettes will challenge the McCurdy Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Mora is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Questa just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. While the Rangers/Rangerettes didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 25-17 in the first set.

Mora started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-18, 25-22, 26-24.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when McCurdy faced off against Penasco on Tuesday. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.

McCurdy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-10.

Mora's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for McCurdy, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
