Volleyball Recap: Fairhaven Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

Fairhaven had won six straight road games dating back to last season and Braley Boucher did her part to make it seven on Wednesday. The Blue Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Greater New Bedford RVT Bears thanks in part to Boucher, who had 14 digs and six aces. She has been hot recently, having posted four or more aces the last four times she's played.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Fairhaven got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 19-25, 26-24, 15-25, 15-9.

Leading Fairhaven to victory were Aubrey Sweeney and Brenna Dugan. Sweeney had 19 assists and four digs, while Dugan had nine kills, eight digs, five aces, and one block. That's the most digs Dugan has posted since back in September of 2024. Audrina Raposa also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Fairhaven was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 13 aces in five consecutive contests.

Fairhaven's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Greater New Bedford RVT, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
