Baseball Recap: Crandall Takes a Loss

Crandall fell victim to Ennis and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-4 last Tuesday.

Crandall's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-10. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ennis, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Crandall will square off against rival Terrell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ennis is set to take on their familiar foe Midlothian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
